The principle of seamless welding is gas-shielded arc welding, referred to as gas-shielded welding or gas-electric welding. It is a fusion welding that uses arc as a heat source and gas as a protective medium. During the welding process, the shielding gas creates a gas protective layer around the arc, which separates the arc and molten pool from the air, prevents the influence of harmful gases, and ensures the stable combustion of the arc.
Seamless welding device converts the current 50/60Hz electric frequency into 20KHz or 40KHz high-frequency electric energy through a transistor function device, and supplies it to the converter. The welding head is an acoustic device that directly transmits mechanical vibration energy to the product to be pressed. The vibration is transmitted to the bonding surface through the welding work piece. The vibration and friction generate heat to melt the plastic, but its welding strength is close to that of a connected material.
Seamless welding technology can not only help eliminate mold welding seams, but also improve the accuracy, smoothness and appearance of parts accordingly. At the same time, seamless welding technology implements efficient control in the injection molding process, shortening the mold processing cycle. Because the products produced by this process have excellent surface finish, there is no need to use secondary spraying and annealing, which avoids dimensional changes caused by secondary shrinkage.
The new seamless welding technology uses modern processing machine tools and some new technology. According to the technological requirements of the new technology, in order to avoid the movement and secondary clamping when processing the mesh-like core and cavity, the fourth axis of the machine tool is used for milling which can improve the tolerance dimensional accuracy. The fins on the plate and the cooling pipeline of the water chamber are also widely used, which further improves the product quality and the smoothness of seamless welding.
The seamless welding technology has the following characteristics:
(1) It can weld metals and alloys with very active chemical properties. The inert gas argon or helium does not chemically react with the chemically active aluminum, titanium, magnesium, copper, nickel and their alloys even at high temperatures, and does not dissolve in the liquid metal. It is difficult to weld these materials with slag-protected welding methods (such as manual arc welding or submerged arc welding, etc.), or they cannot be welded at all.
(2) Welded joints with physique can be obtained. The weld metal obtained by this welding method has high purity, less gas and gas metal inclusions, and less welding defects. Low-carbon steel, low-alloy steel and stainless steel with high requirements for weld metal quality are commonly welded by this welding method.
(3) Thin and small parts can be welded.
(4) Single-sided welding, double-sided forming and all-position welding are possible.
(5) Welding productivity is low.
